Using Preprocessor Style sheets can be useful to organizing and reusing your UI throughout your website and web applications. The rise of design systems means organizations are thinking about their UI and Experience with a consistent approach. Adding SASS is on one step to take to manage how design systems and component libraries can be managed.

We will explore what SASS is and why it could be helpful to your project. To start we will review some of the key features of CSS that are still important to consider. From there we can dive into how to set up SASS and explore the various ways to organize it in your project. SASS offers features like Variables, Mixins and other powerful tools will be covered to start your journey with the extension.

David is a User Experience Consultant with Improving. He has worked for several clients on a wide range of projects. As a consultant, he is a capable User Researcher, Information Architect, and Designer including UI, Visual and Front End. His most recent project was with UNT Health Science Center working on the NamUs Application and website.

He has been with Improving for 8 years and holds a leadership position as VP of Consulting and User Experience.
