This position is responsible for building and maintaining web and mobile applications in a C#/VB environment

JOB TITLE: .NET Developer
REPORTS TO: Manager Web Development
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
JOB PURPOSE: This position is responsible for building and maintaining web and mobile applications in a C#/VB environment to include coding, testing, documentation and production support. This position will be involved with implementing dynamic, data driven designs for new Web sites as well as existing Web sites. Work is to include developing complex Web forms, internal and external Web sites, and Webbased
interfaces for existing enterprise business applications and mobile platforms.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


 

1. Coding both user interface and backend features for the MPIWEB.ORG website (30%)

 

2. Maintaining and upgrading cosmetic features on the website through changes to CSS, XHTML and
possibly creation of custom .NET user controls (20%)

3. Interacting with staff and external customers to gather feedback and design specifications (15%)

4. General web-related duties including maintaining the sitemap, uploading assets and builds, and
monitoring the site for issues (20%)

5. Provide production support for existing legacy applications (15%)

6. Limited travel for training and conference

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Leads multiple small projects phases of larger, high priority projects

QUALIFICATIONS:
EXPERIENCE

o Three or more years of web development experience or equivalent including:
?? Develop n-tier web / Windows / mobile applications using ASP.NET 2.0/3.5,

HTML & JavaScript , AJAX, C#/VB
?? Document & read technical requirements
?? Client-server architecture & MVC design pattern
?? Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 / 2008 SQL Server Enterprise Manager / Query
Analyzer / Management Studio
?? Version control software (Team Foundation Server/SourceSafe/CVS) a plus

EDUCATION
o Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer or decision science, or
equivalent competencies
